God teaches the 3-Day Ceremony through the story of Noah and the dove. After the flood judgment, Noah sent out a dove to see whether God’s new earth was ready to receive True Parents.

On the first day, Noah’s dove returned to him. This represents Adam and Eve becoming false parents. The Word found no place to land. In the Old Testament Age, marriage was separated from God.

Blessed are those who wash their robes.

On the second day the dove returned again, but carrying an olive branch. The Word could not land, but found an olive tree—the Bridegroom, Christ. In the New Testament Age, we had salvation but no marriage.

On the third day, the dove did not return. Noah and his wife, the new Adam and Eve, descended from the Ark. In the Completed Testament Age, we have the Holy Marriage Blessing that liberates Heaven and Earth.

In the 3-Day Ceremony we perfect this path of love. On the first two days we inherit the right of love on the formation and growth stages, which no one before inherited. The wife recreates God’s son, Adam, and they claim the Old Testament Age. She then recreates the Bridegroom, Jesus, and they claim the New Testament Age. On the third day, the Bride and the Bridegroom are recreated in the place of Jesus. Through her husband’s love, “she can finally take root on the earth.” They claim the Completed Testament Age.

The curse is removed. The creation is complete.

The 3-Day Ceremony begins with the external counterpart of the Holy Wine Ceremony; in which each wash their lower parts with a cloth infused with Holy Wine. “Blessed are those who wash their robes,” wrote the Apostle John, “that they may have the right to the tree of life.” Husband and wife in holy robes then bow to God and each other, welcome God in prayer, unite in the Holy of Holies, bow and close in prayer.

In the book of Revelation, the Bride descends from above. “I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride.” She descends to meet the Lamb of God once, and then again—two times. The Lamb then enters the Holy City from above. The two become one; the curse is removed. Husband and wife are naked and not ashamed. The creation is complete.

The Spirit and the bride turn to us and say, Come!
