Good families do not come through knowledge, power or money. They come through a God-centered vision for marriage. Without a God-centered vision, marriages perish.

A vision contains principles, purposes and objectives. “God-centered” means it carries power from a higher source. It is rooted in God’s Word and human responses that channel God’s grace.

“We put marriage at the center of an entire worldview.”

True Family Values presents a God-centered vision that puts marriage at the center of an entire worldview. We do not propose a new religion or program, but to invigorate existing religions and programs.

God is love, and the principles and purposes of this vision are those of love. Marriage, for God, is a partnership of love with His children.

God’s love is true love, the love that gives and gives, forgets it has given, and gives again.

This love is the power to unite two into one. Gen 1:27 says that male and female are two. This is because true love requires pairs. So creation is a story of God creating pairs: yang and yin, male and female. Noah filled the Ark with pairs.

Gen 2:18 and 24 say that male and female are one. Oneness comes through Christ, “For he himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility.”

And when the two become one, they complete God’s love. “If anyone obeys his word, God’s love is truly made complete in him.”

In that oneness of love, God is present: “For where two or three come together in my name, there I am with them.”

As Jesus said, “I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one; …that the love you have for me may be in them, and that I myself may be in them.” Through Christ in True Parents, God is present in the couple and in their child.

“Marriage and family are designed to house all dimensions of love.”

The more dimensions of love that become one, the more room there is for God. Marriage and family are designed to house all dimensions of love. Think the family around the Christmas table, around the July 4 swimming pool.

The family is the one place in the entire universe where God can be most present.

This has incredible implications for marriage.
