On April 10, 1992, at the Seoul Olympic Stadium, Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, our True Mother, gave the keynote address that launched the Women’s Federation for World Peace (WFWP). Calling all women to understand “their noble role ordained by God, and that a road will be opened for us to build an ideal world,” she drove home God’s message to women on the world stage.
True Mother drove home the Divine Principle message to women.
She began by testifying to True Father, his “countless sleepless nights … spent praying for the unification of our homeland, and to the great sacrifices he has made” for God’s providence, exemplified by “our recent meetings in North Korea.”
The visit there, made at the risk of their lives, was “to give unconditionally …to testify to the commandments of Heaven, so that the leaders of that society could realize [that] Unification is possible only by means of the fortune of Heaven together with God’s true love.”
She then took her stand in history, declaring “the teachings of Rev. Moon …that all women today have to understand.” She went right to the key issue: “the human reproductive organs, temples of true love, true life and the true lineage by which husband and wife are intended to join together in virtue.” From there she pointed to “the cause of the disease …the origin of the Fall,” and declared that “Someone must clearly explain the fundamental truths concerning the sin committed by our first ancestors …all the details about the Fall.”
This someone is our True Father, “the restored and completed Adam.” This knowledge will allow us “to make a fundamental change in direction. …to be grafted onto the true olive trees… God and True Parents. …This, in fact, is the final purpose of God’s providence.”
True Mother then outlined the “period of restoration through indemnity” that prepared for the advent of True Parents. She did not focus on Cain and Abel, but on the change of blood lineage based on the actions of women.
It was a declaration of the essential and revolutionary work of women in God’s providence.
This was the first time this teaching was proclaimed to the general public—to a crowd of 100,000, including women from around the world. It was an exposition on the essential and revolutionary work of women in God’s providence.
True Mother was the one who made it visible to history.
Madison Square Garden, July 15, will be the same.
